Without question, the Swan Valley and the Crown of the Continent Ecosystem in general is one area in Montana that I am curious about on many levels. What excited me about this scene was the colour of the shadows in the cliff face and although I knew that the rendering of it was going to be labour intensive, it was also going to be fun. I accentuated the dioxazine purple to assure that the scene had warmth, bathed as it was in the intense light of the afternoon sun.
