This photo was taken by my favorite niece, Hannah, on a recent excursion through Yellowstone National Park. The lone wolf was wandering just yards from the road and the reference I used was clouded in fog, adding an eerie and mystical element to the wolf’s profile. I look forward to exploring the Montana landscape and learning more about the large carnivores/mammals that inhabit the Rocky Mountain West.
