Glacier National Park attracts millions of visitors annually and although much of Lake McDonald is easily accessible throughout the year, there always seems to be an opportunity to enjoy its splendor in solitude; especially in the relatively quiet month of May. On this day there was barely a breeze which created a mirror-like reflection in the water and provided a sharp contrast between the rocks and water’s edge which I found rather striking.
